From the A30 take the Dunkeswell road (Honiton turning) and after approx 3 miles uphill you will reach a turning which is signed Dunkeswell (straight on) there is a sharp left at this junction to Awliscombe which you should take.
Approx 300 metres down this single track road, Hill Farm is on the left with double gates at the entrance and a long drive.
Hux’s Camping @ Hill Farm caters exclusively for one group at a time, which means you get the whole site to yourself! If that is just for the two of you or for a group of families, the site is for you to enjoy on your own terms and in private. We cater for upto 10 pitches under one booking

Only 3 hours from London, and approximately 3 miles from Honiton, and easy access from the A30 and close to all the beautiful beaches of East Devon
Who we are
We are a friendly couple with a young family, with a love of Devon and the countryside. We love where we live and think it’s a perfect spot to explore this stunning area of East Devon. We aren’t farmers but have a smallholding, with Chickens, Goats and Pigs. We have a secluded field that is ideal for camping and we hope that you enjoy the site as much as we do.
Recycling
We do not have business waste collection, so please take your landfill rubbish home with you. This includes broken camping equipment!
We are happy to recycle glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans, cardboard, and food waste with relevant bins being provided for you.
Campfires & BBQs
We have a communal fire pit along with a bag of fire wood.
You can bring your own bbq, but please ensure it is off the ground so as not to kill the grass.
If you would like to hire a bbq for a small fee for the night, please let us know.
Pub
The nearest pub is aprox 2 miles away (down the hill), you will burn off any extra calories on the walk home!!
Phone Charging, Internet & Electric
We do not have wifi on site but you can get 3G/4G signal
We don’t have Electrical Hook Ups, but there is an electric point in The Stables which can be used to blow up an air bed, charge your phone etc.
Toilet/ Shower and Washing up Block (“The Stables”)
No compost loos here, we have a fully plumbed facilities in the newly refurbished Stable Block.
The facilities will be deep cleaned between bookings, but we leave some cleaning supplies for you to use at your convenience.
There is a large ordnance survey map on the wall, as well as some tourist info.
Dogs and Pets
We do not welcome dogs or pets
Water
A tap water point is available at The Stables
Noise
Site noise should be kept to a minimum after 10pm, this means that no music should be played.
Vehicles
You can park your vehicle next to your tent.
T&C’s
• Pitches are available from 2pm on the day your holiday commences – Day of departure you must check out by 11.30am, please leave your pitch clean and tidy.
• All tents must be pitched at least 6 meters apart
• Do not camp near the fire pit
• We provide a fire pit, do not make campfires in any other area.
• Flying of Kites, must be kept well away from overhead wires
• The use of generators is not permitted
• All recyclable rubbish to be placed in the bins provided, all landfill rubbish to be taken home with you
• No smoking in the toilet/shower/washing up bloc
• The owners of Hux’s Campsite, accept no liability for any personal injury, loss or damage to any person’s property or vehicle whilst using the site
• The cutting down of any trees or vegetation is strictly forbidden
• No Dogs or Pets allowed
• Any person in break of the campsite rules may be asked to leave and no refund given.
Things to do
Explore a range of fantastic beaches all within 30 mins, from fossil hunting at Lyme Regis, the vibrant town of Sidmouth to vast sandy beach at Exmouth.
Dunkeswell airfield is just 5 mins away if you fancy having a go at ski diving.
The local scenery is truly stunning and plenty of good walking routes around.
For the children there is Crealy adventure park, Axe valley wildlife park, Pecorama, the Donkey Sanctury and so much more.
