Directions

Take the A30 from Exeter to Launceston.
At the Launceston exit take the A388 to Holsworthy for 9 miles passing through the villages of Dutson, St. Giles-on-the-Heath and Chapman's Well. 2 miles after Chapman's Well turn right at Blagdon Cross (brown signed to Blagdon Farm/Manor).
After three quarters of a mile turn right.
After a quarter of a mile turn right into driveway where you see the signs for Blagdon Farm - Holiday Lodges.

Latitude/Longitude: 50.749312, -4.313552 (more reliable than postcodes if your satnav will accept Lat and Long as a destination.)
Set in the heart of Ruby country (so called after the Ruby Red cattle farmed locally), Blagdon Farm is a working small-holding only a few miles from the wide sandy North Cornwall beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay, the stunning Cornish resorts of Boscastle and Padstow (home to Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant), and the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor and Exmoor. The ancient port of Clovelly and historic Tintagel Castle are close by and the attractions of the Eden Project, the Tate St. Ives, and RHS Rosemoor Gardens are all within easy reach.

The bright lights of Launceston with its ancient castle, steam railway and bustling shopping centre is just 10 miles away. Here you will find Tescos, a retail park and many local shops. The pretty market town of Holsworthy is just 5 miles away where you will find crafts, excellent local produce and there is a market every Wednesday.

Blagdon Farm is the perfect place from which to explore both Devon and Cornwall and you’ll be sure of a very warm welcome.
We're a working small-holding (or small farm) that occupies a secluded position on the edge of a valley - so secluded that few local people are aware that we have a lake as it can't be seen from any road or lane! We're a haven for wildlife, and we're working with the Devon Wildlife Trust to make it even more so and increasing bio-diversity. When you're here you'll see our farm animals - some of which are rare traditional breeds native to Devon - such as the Whiteface Dartmoor Sheep and the Devon Black Pigs. You'll also see the wildlife - Barn and Tawney Owls, deer, badgers, foxes (not the best of friends with our geese, ducks and chickens), various birds of prey and a whole assortment of smaller birds such as Woodpeckers and Kingfishers.

Guests have free access to the estate - that includes the indoor swimming pool, games room, fishing lake (although there are fishing rules - as on any lake), DVD/Book library. As a working small farm we do ask you to respect the livestock and not feed them - although you're more than welcome to hang over the fence and strike up a conversation with the sheep, the pig, geese....and so on!
