Directions

From the south:
Come off the A11 after Thetford onto the A1075. Stay on this road which leads straight to Shipdham, passing through Watton. Turn left onto a single track lane* signposted 'Little Hale' just after you pass the 40 mph speed sign and the sign marking the start of Shipdham. At the end of this lane, turn left. Spring Farm is the first property on your left.

*This road is marked as unsuitable for heavy vehicles. Heavy vehicles should carry on to the Threeways Garage, turn left and follow directions given for traffic from north.

From the north, east or west:
Come off the A47 at Dereham.
Traffic from the east will exit the A47 onto a roundabout by a large Tesco store. Turn right at the roundabout towards Dereham. Pass over a train line and straight over one set of traffic lights. At the second set of traffic lights (in between Roys and Homebase), turn left onto the A1075 Shipdham Road.
Traffic from the west will exit the A47 straight onto the A1075 Shipdham Road. Turn left onto the A1075.

The A1075 will take you straight to Shipdham. Drive through Shipdham. Approximately 0.25 mile after the church, turn right at the Threeways Garage onto Bradenham Road. After approximately 0.25 mile, turn left onto a lane signposted 'Little Hale'. This is single track but there are passing places. There is a lane off to the left after approximately 0.5 mile and Spring Farm is the first property on the left after this lane.
Located about 5 miles south of Dereham, we are perfectly situated for those wanting to use us as a base for day trips to the North Norfolk coast, Thetford Forest, The Broads, the fine city of Norwich, numerous attractive market towns or a host of local family attractions, including the renowned Dinosaur Adventure Park. Alternatively, walkers and cyclists can explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside using the miles of country lanes and bridleways, which are on the doorstep of Spring Farm Campsite.

Please note, we do not accept dogs.

Shower

We have a large shower room with a single electric shower. This is ideal for families due to the generous changing area. A nappy changing mat is also provided.

Washing

A sheltered area houses two handbasins and two washing up sinks (with hot water, lighting and mirrors).

Toilets

We have two eco-friendly composting toilets (separate men's and women's). Child seats are provided in both the men's and the women's toilets.

USB Charging Points & a plug socket
This is a new addition for 2017. Free charging for phones, tablets etc and a socket for hairdryers / air bed pumps etc.

Electrical Hook Up

We have four electrical hook up points. Please request this upon booking if you require electricity.

Chemical Toilet Waste Disposal

A chemical toilet waste disposal point is provided.

Hard-Standing Pitches

We have two hard-standing pitches with grass either side for awnings. These are located close to the electric hook up point, however you can book hard-standing without electric if you wish. Please specify upon booking if you require hard-standing.

Freshly Stocked Fish Pond

We have a small spring fed fish pond which is freshly stocked with carp and rudd. Campers may fish for free but must use a landing net and barbless hooks and must put back what they catch. Keep nets are not permitted. We do not provide any fishing equipment but do have a small supply of basic fishing tackle and bait for sale. The pond is fenced and gated. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The supervision of children over the age of 12 is at the discretion of the parents / guardian. The middle of the pond is deep (approx. 2-3 meters). A life ring is situated at the edge of the pond.

Recycling Area

We provide bins for recyclable waste and encourage campers to recycle as much of their rubbish as possible.

Drinking Water

The water in the washing area is safe to drink. We also have a dedicated drinking water tap suitable for filling large containers.

Dogs
We no longer accept dogs on site.

Health & Safety Points

Fire extinguishers are located in the washing area. The perimeter of the campsite is a mixture of hedges and fences, however, campers should be aware that unsupervised children could potentially make their way onto country lanes or farmland. The pond is fenced and gated. A life ring is situated by the pond as the water is deep in the centre.

We've just returned from a weekend at Spring Farm and would recommend the site to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful camping experience. Plenty of space, hook-ups, water, toilets, shower and a friendly pub a 20 minute stroll away. Perfect. Thanks to the owners for free use of the fire pit.
