Honeysuckle Shepherd's Hut is in a clearing in the woods. There is a picnic bench and barbecue for your use. A little way down a woodland path is a shower block with individual wet rooms. The woodland largely consists of larch and pine which was planted in the 1950s for timber however there are some large beeches, chestnuts and sycamores with some smaller deciduous trees growing up through. The woods are a haven for wildlife; barn and tawny owls, long tailed tits, wrens, woodpeckers, sparrowhawk, bats, squirrels, deer, toads. There is a campfire area that you may use if you wish.
